The purpose of the Baptist Student Ministry (BSM) at Central Texas College (CTC) is assist churches in fulfilling the Great Commission by leading students and others in the academic community to faith in God through Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, to guide them in Christian growth and discipleship, and to involve them in responsible church membership.
The Director, Elva Chase, is a member of Pershing Park Baptist Church in Killeen. She uses her abilities and spiritual gifts to serve her Lord through ministering to the students.
Churches of Greater Fort Hood Baptist Association provide lunch on Wednesdays for BSM student members and their guests. A Bible Study is offered after the lunch.
The BSM student members observe the National Day of Prayer, assist in Gideon Bible distributions, work with the Red Ribbon Campaign on drug and alcohol abuse, distribute welcome gifts to CTC dorm residents, participate in "See You at the Pole" activities, observe Black History week in February, and participate in student mission trips during Spring Break and the summer school break.
Ms Barbara Litte is the new campus sponsor of the Baptist Student Ministry.
