Way to Salvation
If you are browsing this website today and you do not know Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Saviour, it is the desire of the Greater Fort Hood Baptist Association that you come to know Him today and begin to walk with Him and to develop a personal relationship with Him. The following scriptures taken from the New International Version of God's Holy Word can help lead you to know Christ personally.
It is written in Romans 3:10: "There is no one righteous, not even one," and Romans 3:23 says: "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." Jesus Christ was God's glory and he was the only perfect man who ever lived. All mankind falls short of his perfection, thus we are all sinners. We were born into this sin because of what is written in Romans 5:12: "Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all men, because all sinned--" As a result of Adam's sin in the Garden of Eden, we are all sinners and must be saved from our sin. If we are not, we will receive payment for our sin. Romans 6:23a says: "For the wages of sin is death," If we remain in our sin, we will die without God's forgiveness. But there is hope for mankind! Romans 5:8 says: "But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Then Romans 6:23b says: "but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." So what do you need to do to receive God's gift of eternal life? Roman's 10:9-10 says: "That if you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved." Then, Romans 10:13 says: "For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."
If you have read these scriptures today and you believe and want to be saved, you can do that right now by praying the following prayer:
"Dear Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner and need forgiveness from you. I believe that you died on the cross and rose again from the dead in order that I might receive eternal life. I turn from my sins and ask you to forgive me. Right now I invite you into my heart to be my Saviour and Lord. Thank you for hearing my prayer and giving me your gift of eternal life. In Jesus Name, Amen."
If you prayed this prayer, congratulations and welcome to God's family.
